XenMind is a design initiative that aims to help young New Zealanders with stress relief and daily wellbeing. The XenMind app is a user-centric platform that encourages people to practice mindful activities on a daily basis. The app also allows for community connection by enabling users to share their mood and small daily wins. Through this feature, people can view their friend's small wins and can like them to show support, effectively normalising the discussion of wellbeing.
The use of kiwi illustrations enables the audience to resonate withe XenMind's emotive and playful identity. The "Xen" kiwis have a variety of expressions, and can be collected by the user as badges on the app or in physical form such as stickers. Each kiwi is representative of a New Zealander's daily experiences.
Additional touch-points include a tote bag suite and promotional advertisements such as posters, billboards and animated advertising. The tote bag contains stickers, an informational card with details about XenMind, drink bottles, decorative prints and the tote itself. Moreover, this suite will be available at universities during orientation week and at pop up sites across Wellington city, to provide accessibility to our target demographic of 18-30 year olds.
This was a collaborative project made with Grace Lloyd (https://gracehannah.myportfolio.com/).
